INTERSTER PURCHASES RESISTOMETER
In order to test and develop chemical and biological indicators for steam sterilisation, Interster has purchased a Steam-Resistometer.
With the investment in a Steam-Resistometer, Insterster again shows to be more than just a supplier of medical devices for the CSSD and OR. The purchase of this test autoclave, fits perfectly into our policy to be a partner who invests in knowledge-developments for our customers. Although the investment was quite substantial, we expect to be able to contribute effectively to the development of control products that answers questions rising amongst professionals.
Interster enforces itself high standards in the development of indicators and doesn’t want to be depending on laboratories. This explains why we have invested in our own Steam-Resistometer which is a very accurate and computerized test autoclave for the development of biological and chemical test indicators to be used in steam sterilization. With this purchase, we can control the entire process of testing ourselves. Thus acquiring knowledge that would have remained hidden for us if we would continue to use external parties.
The Steam-Resistometer meets the requirements as given in the ISO 18472 for investigative purposes, development of new indicators and quality improvement of already existing control products. Besides using this device for our own product development, we will also use the Steam-Resistometer for the check of our own production. Also Interster is considering to be certified as a test laboratory so that third parties can also use our facilities for testing and checking their products.

15 years anniversary
This year Interster celebrates the fact that it has been an internationally reknowned partner for the OR and the CSSD for 15 years. Because we could not have reached this milestone without the help and trust of our customers and distributors, we have celebrated this with them. On August 19th all distributors were invited to join us in watching the Sail-In parade 2010. We've enjoyed the many passing ships in the summer sun at our sheeting facility located by the Northsea Channel. We would like to thank all our guests for turning this day into a great succes.
Washer-desinfector loggers
Recently Interster has introduced the new washer-desinfector loggers. The Interster WAD 1 Temperature Wireless and WAD 5 Pressure Temperature Data loggers are useful devices for the daily verification of the wash and desinfector proces. With these loggers the wash and desinfector process can be monitored and potential flows can be recognized on time. Furthermore, the wireless loggers are compatible with the Interster interface DPCD-3 Professional software and the new WAD 1 and WAD 5 loggers make it possible to monitor your routine controle real-time. The interster WAD 1 and WAD 5 are in according to the EN-ISO 15883.
