The Digital Process Challenge Device (DPCD) is developed based on the Helix (EN 867-5). By making use of the newest and most advanced technologies, the DPCD is now the most compact digital Helix, and the only digital Helix that meets the EN867-5:2001 

The DPCD can be applied as charge control with every load, can be used as a steampenetrationtest (Type Bowie & Dick) and as a vacuum leaktest. Besides these tests it is the ideal tool for proces control.

Every second, the device measures the exact physical parameters in the Helix and the sterilization chamber of the autoclave by means of electronic temperature sensors, electronic pressure sensors and time registration.

The DPCD is an unique instrument and very user-friendly. It provides the user with insights in the actual process (-development) in the autoclave load and displays these results accurately. The results can always be reproduced and are verified according to the values described in EN 285:2006 + A2:2009, EN-ISO 11140-4:2007, EN 867-5:2001, EN-ISO 17665-1:2006 and EN 13060:2004.

The DPCD is a stand-alone system which shows the results by a PASSED or NOT PASSED. A graph also shows any possible failure.

The DPCD checks the results compared to a sterilization program that is performed with e.g. 134° Celsius during 3 minutes or 121° during 15 minutes, or even based on a prion program of 134° during 18 minutes.

The device is delivered with software that files all executed processes.
